We believe AI has vast potential to enable efficiencies across the drug development spectrum, from early-stage research through commercialization, as well as in our enabling functions. We expect AI to evolve over time and are committed to navigating that evolution responsibly, ethically, legally, and in accordance with our values and mission.
How we do it
- Our AI Leadership Council helps ensure our use of AI systems and tools is aligned to our values and that our policies are enforced.
- We take compliance with applicable laws and regulations in our development and deployment of AI systems and tools very seriously.
- We prioritize data protection and privacy. Confidential, proprietary, and private information should not be used as inputs when utilizing publicly available AI systems or tools.
- We always assign responsibility to a human to review the outputs of the AI systems and tools we use before any action is taken based on those outputs.
- We use and develop fair and transparent AI systems and tools and expect our third-party partners to uphold these same standards.
- We offer AI training for employees.
